Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Milwaukee Brewers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
In this week’s Reacts Survey, we asked fans where they think the Brewers will be in the playoff standings entering the All-Star break, which begins July 14. The results were about as clear cut as could be:
A combined 82% of fans believe the Brewers will either be in a playoff spot or within three games of a playoff spot, with another 15% saying they’ll be within shouting distance at three to six games out. However you look at it, it’s clear that fans still believe this is a playoff contender, even with the early-season struggles and injury woes.
Entering Tuesday, the Brewers had +235 odds (bet $100 to win $235) to make the playoffs and -300 odds (bet $300 to win $100) to miss the postseason for the first time since 2022, per FanDuel Sportsbook. At that point, the Brewers were one game behind the Giants and Cardinals in the NL Wild Card race.
Since that time, the Brewers split their last two games with the Reds and now sit at 34-29 on the season. Their odds on FanDuel have remained at +235 to make the playoffs and -300 to miss, while their spot in the standings is still one game behind the Giants (though they’re now just 1⁄2 game behind the Cardinals).
Will the Brewers be able to make a push for their third consecutive postseason appearance? Only time will tell.
