Predictably there’s been a bit of a lull in terms of baseball news following the option decisions, and that’ll likely continue until the Winter Meetings. I’m almost grateful for that break after the blitz of post-World Series content, though I guess catching up on said content is the logical next step for the site, so here we go.
======
There was still some interesting stuff coming out about the World Series itself.
In terms of underappreciated plays, Yoshinobu Yamamoto fielding Isiah Kiner-Falefa‘s bunt perfectly and Alejandro Kirk not going the other way were late keys that have gone unnoticed, and Adam Ottavino agreed with me, which makes him a genius.

Ottavino is gonna get him hired by a team sooner than later, so appreciate it now.
Meanwhile, Jeff Hoffman getting got by Miguel Rojas was funny enough to begin with, but it’s made even funnier by the fact that Will Klein confirmed Hoffman was chirping at Rojas and others during the Justin Wrobleski and Andres Gimenez dust-up.
There we go, lol. https://t.co/axHN2SLwVl https://t.co/3Fhr1W22hp pic.twitter.com/wtYtWDhKSu

Sorta get an idea from the breakdown of it.

Speaking of Rojas — and Will Smith to a lesser extent — was basically traumatized by his play in the bottom of the ninth.
Yeah, he didn’t sound too fond of the rewatch. https://t.co/HaqTQrIHC2 pic.twitter.com/Htb0OOWy6V

Meanwhile, after they got back to Los Angeles, Mookie Betts held another party for the team at his mansion and did another podcast. This one was less controversial in terms of shit-talking, but it was still insightful.
Prioritizing myself, I was thrilled to have my unc theory of Game 3 confirmed.

Clayton Kershaw started a war on social media by talking about the 2017 World Series against the Astros and casually mentioning it has an asterisk.

He also didn’t think the Dodgers had won after the double play (plus calling Kiner-Falefa as “Kiner-Falafel”).
Kershaw thought the double play was a tie game and he didn’t know they won. Also struggles to pronounce Kiner-Falefa. pic.twitter.com/MwArFyOdcp

Mookie and Enrique Hernandez reframed the Dodgers playing poorly as it being impressive to still win it all despite that. True.
Mookie and Enrique on still winning despite playing like doo doo, reframes it as impressive to do so, lol. pic.twitter.com/Fp0TRn5x6m

Surprised it already has more views than last year’s, which was notably drunker and more controversial at times, lol.

Speaking of the party going on in the background, which sounded like basketball, bowling, and other stuff, Mookie posted some videos for everybody.
Notably, here’s Freddie Freeman hitting an impressive worm.

They also were playing knockout on his courts.

The people who put the party on also posted videos of the team and their spouses dancing, which was truly something to behold.
Every angle is a blessing.

Incredible scenes that also included Soulja Boy, apparently?
@jzdjintro ? What a moment! I had the incredible privilege of providing an unforgettable lighting show for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ post-parade celebration — and even at Mookie Betts’ residence. ?⚾️ I can’t express how truly honored and grateful I am for this opportunity. Moments like these don’t come around often — if ever — and I’m beyond thankful to have been part of something so special. ? Getting to hang out and walk alongside Hall of Fame legends was surreal — something I’ll definitely be telling my kids about one day. ? I’ve always been ready for my shot, and this felt like the moment… made even better by the fact that it happened with the team I’ve loved my whole life. ? #Dodgers #LADodgers #MookieBetts #LightingDesign #EventProduction ♬ suara asli – favtemplates

The Dodgers also did their trophy tour seemingly everywhere, but notably at the Kings game with Blake Snell on the drums…

Back to baseball for the close, here’s some Yoshinobu Yamamoto aura clips of Blue Jays watch crowds groaning at the very sight of him.

Should be true off-season stuff next time.
