Rays Reacts Results: Playoffs? – DRaysBay

It’s amazing how much can change in just a month.

Just one month ago I asked Rays fans to vote on if the team will make the playoffs and only 38% were confident they could do it.

Now, just four weeks later a 0.5 games back of first place in the AL East, an astonishing 82% now believe in the Tampa Bay Rays chances of post season contention:

Of course, these survey results are also very close to the FanGraphs odds, which placed the Rays at around a 32% chance of the playoffs at the start of June and now have the Rays and Blue Jays at 77%, so the result was not unexpected.

That’s why I added a second question: what about 90 games? Is that within reach?

Here the voters are split pretty evenly:

This is reasonable! Given the parity between the teams not named the Orioles in the AL East, I would think few if any hit 90 wins at this rate.
