With just a couple of games left to go in spring training, the Brewers’ Opening Day roster is nearly set. They’ve informed most players that they will be on the roster, and barring a last-minute roster move, we know who will be on the Opening Day roster. With that in place, let’s take an updated look at where the Brewers payroll stands.
Before we get to the payroll, a few quick notes.
For pre-arbitration players, I’ll be using an estimate of $800,000 for this season. The actual values of these contracts can slightly differ, but it will not be a significant amount.
There are incentive clauses included in some contracts, but those are not factored here.
There are a few amounts I’ll include at the end, but those will not count for the official payroll (but may count for the luxury tax payroll).
Payroll data is from RosterResource on FanGraphs, as well as Spotrac.
