Hey guys,
I hope you all enjoyed that rallying speech from Robert J. O’Neill, a member of SEAL Team 6 who bravely killed Osama Bin Laden and then just as bravely led America’s fight against people in drag. There is so much to gain from listening to a man who once saw someone in a dress and immediately surrendered to China.
I don’t need to tell you how much overlap there is in the interests of a baseball team playing in a global tournament for fun and a man who may or may not have done what he’s most famous for. I’m sure he had many helpful thoughts to share about broad concepts like “teamwork” and “patriotism” and “being part of an elite team.” Presumably Bryce Harper left the room at that part.
O’Neill is an experienced public speaker, and we were all impressed that he managed to deliver the whole thing without being blackout drunk or racist. It was an incredible speech that made everyone realize how American they were, no matter what was or wasn’t true about O’Neill’s speech or life. The point is, killing people is extremely cool, and we’re glad you got to feed off that a little bit. As a baseball team, I mean. It makes sense.
