The rising tide of women’s hoops motivated Jordan Brand to debut the Jordan Heir in late 2024: a new model engineered specifically for women’s basketball. Now the time has come for a follow-up, as the Jordan Heir 02 has surfaced for the first time via official images.
The original Jordan Heir was defined by its unique Westbrook-esque design and TPU exoskeleton, built to provide lockdown for the kind of running and cutting that’s central to the women’s game. While likely maintaining that same motto, the Heir 02 looks completely different. Eyes are first drawn to a smaller yet still eye-catching TPU frame on the lower sides, taken with triangular cutouts so as to mirror the synthetic detailing just above. The base is made from mesh and canvas, while synthetic leather creeps onto the eyelets and toe, the latter featuring holes for breathability. You’ll also notice the height is slightly taller than that of the original Jordan Heir, and there’s more padding around the collar. Another interesting point of note is the heel, equipped with a TPU spoiler and packaged with hair ties for easy storage when on the court.
As for the tech, the Heir 02 offers a true upgrade from its predecessor with an Air Zoom bag in the forefoot. This can be seen through the outsole, where a new semi-translucent, triangular tread pattern takes shape. The original Heir featured a drop-in Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole, and that likely remains the case here.
The Jordan Heir 02 is set to release in several colorways throughout 2026, starting with this familiar “Black/University Red/White” arrangement. Retail looks to be set around $130–$140 USD. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
