Talk about a passing of the torch. Before even entering her league, one of another’s greatest has extended the olive branch. Our presence in Los Angeles for All-Star Weekend provided us a first look at the JuJu Watkins Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen, the latest step in one of James’ many non-signature line and one co-designed by the USC star and presumptive eventual #1 overall pick.
Carrying two athletes names is a wholly unprecedented move in Nike’s overall history, but that’s exactly what’s on display here; Nike stamps that the suilhouette was “co-created by basketball phenom JuJu Watkins and the legendary LeBron James.” Following a flashy “Silver Lining” colorway, we enter different territory with the “Bright Crimson” at hand. On top of the comprehensive fiery colorway, the futuristic leather/synthetic textures of step #1 instead shift to shaggy suede, taking over the lacestay/toe-box panel and the tongue, where the “By Juju” script still lives.
Nike’s initial press surrounding this model promised that it’d hit shelves come Summer 2026 for $170; see a look at images via Foot Locker below.
