LaMelo Ball Might Debut The PUMA MB.05 Lo “Slime” During First Career Playoffs

After launching in a Fast & Furious collab style at NBA All-Star Weekend, LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.05 Lo is continuing its rollout with a slimy green colorway for Summer 2026.

This slime green look is a recurring fixture in the LaMelo Ball shoe canon, appearing in some form across most of his signature performance models as well as his Lanvin-like PUMA LaFrance. More notable here is the model’s low-top execution. The MB.05 Lo stands out with a fabric and mesh shell that wraps the sides and toe box, extending onto the forefoot via a tongue cover. The midsole, meanwhile, appears identical to that of the standard MB.05.

Not that it has much to do with this sneaker in particular, but LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets have clinched a play-in spot and remain in contention for the No. 6 seed in the East, which would mark the franchise’s first true playoff appearance in a decade. It’ll take a strong finish and some help, though, as the team sits behind both the Raptors and 76ers and closes the regular season against three of the conference’s top teams.
