Zaccharie Risacher had the best game of his career with the Atlanta Hawks, and fans think he’s showing one important thing.
Zaccharie Risacher is perhaps one of the most maligned first overall picks in recent history. The French star wasn’t even the Atlanta Hawks‘ first option.
Alex Sarr basically informed the Hawks that he had no intention of playing for them. As such, Atlanta chose to draft Risacher instead.
Since then, the young rookie has proven to be a strong pick-up. He’s putting up numbers similar to those of Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards in their respective rookie years.
While Risacher is being mentored by Trae Young, he has really come into his own. After dropping a career-high better than Victor Wembanyama earlier in the season, Risacher has gone and outdone himself.

Fans react to Zaccharie Risacher’s career night
Against the Brooklyn Nets, Zaccharie Risacher put up a career-high 38 points. It was a brilliant night for the French rookie, who showed off his skills.
One fan raised doubts about the Rookie of the Year race by saying, “38 points on absurd efficiency in a win? Castle ain’t doing this.”
“Zaccharie Risacher is out here putting on a show — watch out, the future is bright,” said another excited Atlanta Hawks fan.
“Never seen ‘draft experts’ be more dishonest about a prospect,” chimed in one fan who slammed the experts who doubted Rissacher.
A fan also made a bold comparison, saying, “Y’all let Trae Young get 2007 KD FOR FREE.”
While another Hawks fan looked forward to the future, “Promise next year we cooking with hot grease.”

Risacher looking to improve next season
With another strong performance, Risacher would have hoped to reach the top of the Rookie of the Year ladder. But unfortunately Stephon Castle seems to have wrapped it all up.
Risacher has had a good season, averaging 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. He hasn’t made a notable impact, especially compared to other notable first overall picks in the past.
But he has shown that he is a strong player who can develop into an even better star in the years to come.
The Hawks are in a unique place heading into the offseason. If they do decide to blow things up, Risacher is certainly a foundation piece.
