Since early 2008, Nike has been a proud supporter of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, bringing awareness of breast cancer through its footwear product. Largely unavailable to the public, these made-for-athlete player exclusives have fueled the fire among sneaker collectors, indirectly boosting the efforts of the charitable organization via highly sought-after kicks.
Today, the partnership between Kay Yow and Nike have remained strong as we’ve seen the signature ribbon logo and standout pink colorway appear across several basketball models such as the GT Cut 4 and the Kobe 6 Protro. Next up is the Nike Book 2, Devin Booker’s newly launched signature shoe model.
Debuting on the night of February 7th, the Nike Book 2 “Kay Yow” PE was worn by Devin during the pre-game shoot-around session. Opting for a tonal bright pink upper with a matching outsole bottom and white hits on the Swoosh, laces, and midsole, Nike adds the breast cancer awareness ribbon logo at the heel to officially stamp the next chapter of the Kay Yow series. There is no report of these hitting a retail release, so enjoy these photos provided by the Phoenix Suns.
