The Nike Book 2 Gets In On The “WNBA 30th Anniversary”

When it rains it pours. That’s been a defining phrase for the Nike Book 2, dropping off new looks in fits and starts as it begins to get its feet under it. A spree of player exclusive looks redoubled that Devin remains the king of the player exclusive just as he was for his first signature shoe, with the latest update being the Nike Book 2 “Haven and Hector” that’ll actually see a public release.

Keeping up that moment, early looks at the Nike Book 2 “WNBA 30th Anniversary” have now touched down, obviously of a piece with the previously revealed celebrants in the Nike catalog: the Air Force 1 Low, the Dunk Low, the Sabrina 3, and the GT Cut 4. Coated in the same throwback palette as those predecessor, the Nike Book 2 carries spotted, textural leather through its upper before moving into navy and red in the Swoosh and, intriguingly, a gradient stripe within the midsole. That turn-of-the-century atmosphere further dovetails into era-accurate branding with the “Just Do It” insoles and the “est. 1996” side tag, as well as a faux-aged sole unit below.

Though we only have teaser shots to go off of at the moment, the Nike Book 2 “WNBA 30th Anniversary” is confirmed to release on May 2nd, reportedly still commanding its usual $140 retail price.
