Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat have yet to hold substantive talks on a contract extension and a deal is considered doubtful, sources tell ESPN. Herro can sign for up to $150 million over three seasons and he has said he expects something to get done.
Herro and the Heat previously agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension in 2022.
Herro, who is represented by Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman, can become a free agent in 2027. The Heat are also planning for the 2027 offseason when the likes of Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell and Anthony Davis could become free agents.
Last season, Herro became an All-Star for the first time as he averaged 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 35.4 minutes. Herro also had a career high PER of 19.4.
