The UConn men’s basketball program added more frontcourt depth for the 2025-26 season.
Dwayne Koroma, a 6-foot-8 forward from Berlin, Germany, announced his commitment to the Huskies through ESPN’s Jonathan Givony on Saturday. The Le Moyne transfer averaged 11.5 points and 7.2 rebounds in 28.3 minutes per game last season, shooting an impressive 71.4% from the field for the Dolphins.
Koroma began his career playing for Rick Pitino at Iona in 2020-21, then transferred to Salt Lake Community College for a year before transferring to UT Arlington for the 2023-24 season. He’s played in 82 games at the Division I level and started in 56 over his career.
UConn got a close look at Koroma early last season when Le Moyne visited the XL Center for a November buy game. Koroma scored a team-high 13 points (6-for-9 from the field) and five rebounds in the 90-49 UConn rout.
The Huskies’ roster stands at 12 with the addition of Koroma, who adds depth to a group of forwards highlighted by Alex Karaban and Jaylin Stewart. UConn also added Jacob Ross, brother of junior wing Jayden Ross, this week as it continues to fill out its roster with the House settlement pending, which would increase scholarship limits from 13 to 15 for the upcoming season.
UConn’s roster projects to be one of the best in the country as it stands. The Huskies were able to retain five key players while shoring up the point guard position with a pair of transfers in Georgia’s Silas Demary Jr. and Dayton’s Malachi Smith.
Five-star wing Braylon Mullins highlights a strong incoming freshman class alongside 7-foot center Eric Reibe and Australian wing Jacob Furphy. The Huskies will look to add a third center to backup Tarris Reed Jr. and Reibe with one of their three scholarships remaining.
