It seems Floyd Mayweather has had a change of heart regarding a fight against Jake Paul.
Love him or hate him, ‘The Problem Child’ has done a fantastic job at turning the heads of boxing’s biggest stars during his time in the sport. His brash personality and bold approach to his career have attracted the attention of several world champions and even managed to land him a legacy fight against Mike Tyson.
Now, it seems another Hall-of-Fame talent is ready to stand across the ring from Jake Paul. After reportedly declining interest in the fight numerous times in the past, Floyd Mayweather has denied ducking a clash with the internet personality.
“We offered Jake Paul the fight probably 10 or 20 times and he turned us down,” Mayweather said. “So [the ducking rumors are] bullsh*t.”
Mayweather continued.
“Well, we can do an exhibition. We know we can’t do a real fight because it’s not going to be sanctioned because of the weight difference.”
Mayweather would be at a huge height and weight discrepancy if his fight with the 28-year-old comes to fruition.
Despite the difference being significant between the two, the undefeated boxing legend believes it wouldn’t prevent him from completely outclassing Jake Paul once the opening bell rings.
“We could do an exhibition. That’s easy work, super easy.”

The height and weight aren’t a new factor to Mayweather. Almost four years ago at the age of 44, the Michigan native squared off against Jake Paul’s older brother, Logan.
Logan Paul towered over the retired Mayweather, trying to use his size to disrupt the prowess of his opponent. While no official winner was announced, it was Mayweather who toyed with Logan without barely breaking a sweat.
Jake Paul is always looking to capture the attention of viewers and a fight against Floyd Mayweather would likely do that.
