Gervonta Davis was arrested in Miami on Wednesday following a weeks-long search that began after authorities issued an arrest warrant tied to an alleged domestic incident in October.

The Miami Gardens Police Department confirmed that detectives, working in coordination with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, located Davis after tracking his movements across multiple counties. Officers observed Davis exiting a retail location in Miami’s Design District and took him into custody without incident.

Police said Davis was charged with battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping. He was transported for warrant processing before being booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility.

Released on bail after brief custody

Court records show Davis was released on bail later the same day after spending a short period in custody. Bail was set at $16,000.
