Known Heavyweight ‘Knocked Out’ In Sparring By Gervonta Davis

Rumours of sparring sessions between elite fighters like Gervonta Davis are more often than not leaked from training camps, despite the best efforts of those involved.

It has been universally acknowledged for many years that sparring sessions, especially those involving some of the biggest names in the sport, are to be kept under wraps and not discussed outside of the gym walls.

But despite the efforts of fighters and coaches alike, it’s never that easy to contain what goes on during those rounds of sparring, especially in the lead up to a showdown between two great boxers.

In a recent admission to ESNEWS, an unnamed fighter that was due to spend time in the ring sparring Davis recalled ‘Tank’ causing serious problems for a ‘well known’ heavyweight – who they didn’t reveal to ‘save embarrassment’.

“Man I was about to spar Tank, he was sparring this big boy, a heavyweight boy, ‘Tank’ hit him so hard he was just on the ropes like this, I thought he died.”

In light of this revelation, Davis was then asked to confirm this actually happened, to which he said this:

“Sh*t be happening. Best not get in there with me. That’s it.”

The 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland is known for his substantial punching power, which has led to him winning 28 of his 30 professional contests by knockout.

‘Tank’ is quite often on the right end of a showreel knockout, and has now been urged by fans and pundits to put his power and ability to the test against one of the big names in his weight class, such as Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney.
