Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions presented another stellar Hollywood Fight Nights event on Friday night at the Chumash Casino Resort. They broadcast globally on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.

Continued Loeffler, “Omar Trinidad was in another action-packed fight against Lorenzo Parr, defending his title for the fifth time in the main event that brought fans to their feet throughout. Abel Mejia was in a thriller back and forth against Aston Palicte, which saw a rare double-knockdown in the first round. However, Abel stormed back and earned the stoppage in the second round. Lupita Medina continues to entertain with her fan-friendly style and her marketability inside and outside the ring.”
Fighting in the main event, Omar Trinidad, (19-0-2, 13 KOs), of Boyle Heights, CA battled to a hotly contested ten-round draw against Lorenzo Parra, (23-1-1, 17 KOs) of Machiques, Venezuela. Scores were 96-94 for Trinidad and 95-95 twice, as Trinidad held onto his WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Title.
Following a measured opening two rounds, the two combatants threw caution away firing their full arsenals at each other as the huge crowd at Chumash Casino Resort roared with approval throughout. After the fight, Parra proposed to his girlfriend in the ring – she said yes!
Fighting for the third time in the United States, Mizuki Hiruta (9-0, 2 KOs) shone in her fifth defense of her WBO Super Flyweight World Title against previously undefeated Naomy Cardenas Gomez (9-1, 2 KOs) of Chihuahua, Mexico. Scores for the unanimous decision victory were 100-90 twice and 98-92.
With the renowned Manny Robles guiding her, Hiruta displayed excellent defense while scoring at will with a variety of counter punches, helping the colorful southpaw rack up points against the game Gomez.

22-year-old junior lightweight Abel Mejia (9-0, 5 KOs), continues to validate his must-see attraction reputation, stopping former world title challenger Aston Palicte, (28-9-1, 23 KOs) in the second round.
Dropped in the opening stanza by Palicte, Mejia would send the native of the Philippines to the canvas in the second round, earning the exciting stoppage at 1:34 from a barrage of unanswered punches.
Maywood, CA native Guadalupe Medina, (11-0, 2 KOs), fought to the distance over eight rounds in a very heated battle with Mexico’s Rubi Gutierrez, (5-3-1). Scores for Medina were 80-72, 77-7,5, and 77-75 for Gutierrez.
Just 21 years old, Medina showed her grit fighting through adversity from the hard-throwing Gutierrez. Finishing strong in the final round, Medina demonstrated her world-class level, capping off the victory in style.
Opening the main card, featherweight rising star Angel Carrillo (5-0-1, 2 KOs), of Oxnard, CA, took a four-round dominant unanimous decision over Damien Basulto (3-1, 1 KO), of Compton, CA. Scores were 40-36 twice and 39-37.
Fighting in the prelims, junior lightweight Abraham Morales (2-0, 1 KO) defeated Nesly Trezile(1-4) by unanimous decision. Dropping Trezile in the third stanza, Morales earned the victory by scores of 39-36, 39-36, and 38-37.
Pro debuting Jonathan Vasquez, (1-0), won a four-round decision over Brian Rodriguez, (0-1) by scores of 40-36 on all three judge’s scorecards in the lightweight division.
