Atalanta’s CEO, Luca Percassi, issues a warning to Inter Milan regarding La Beneamata’s plan to sign Ademola Lookman. La Dea remain adamant that Inter must pay the asking price if they were to sign Lookman this summer.
Atalanta and Inter Yet to Agree on a Deal for Lookman Transfer
The Nerazzurri have publicly confirmed that the Nigerian international is their main transfer target for the summer transfer window. Multiple reports in Italy also suggest that the player is keen on joining Inter and would have no issue agreeing to personal terms.
However, Inter are still not close to reaching an agreement with Atalanta regarding the potential transfer fee. The Nerazzurri so far have only proposed 42 million euros plus 3 million bonuses, but Atalanta are staying firm with their 50 million euros plus bonuses request.
For now, there’s still a difference in valuation between the two parties, so a move is still not in the cards for now. Although Atalanta know that Lookman is keen on moving, the club remain adamant that a deal needs to meet their valuation and timing.
“We have a proposal from Inter, but it’s us deciding timing and valuation for our own players,” Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi explained. We have a good relationship, and we will consider the proposal with our time.”
Percassi also added that they are not concerned with Lookman’s wish to leave, as it’s something the player already planned for a while back. “Lookman wants to leave since a long time ago,” Percassi added.
