There were awkward howlers from gift-giving Wycombe as they are thrashed 4-0 by Luton in League One on Boxing Day.
Gideon Kodua, who was on loan at Wycombe last season, put the hosts ahead on 7 minutes, then just before half time, the second goal came from a horrendous mix-up.
Jordan Clark added the third in the 70th minute, and substitute Shayden Morris sealed the hammering in the 78th minute.
Footage has gone viral of one of the goals, getting over a million views in less 24 hours. @george_mjg tweeted “I don’t care that he made the mistake, that’s part and parcel of being a keeper, but that reaction is completely unacceptable” and got over 10,000 likes.

Luton boss Jack Wilshere said, per Luton Today: “When I spoke to the players just then I said this is what we should have done against Reading because it was a good performance.
“Today the performance was better as I felt we had a bit more purpose, we had more threat and we created more opportunities.
“We still had a good performance against Reading, but it’s nice to win and win convincingly and dominate so much of the game.
“I actually thought the start of the second half they came out, and you always expect that.
“They’ll try something different, try and be a little bit more aggressive, but we dealt with that moment well and I’m really happy with how we did.
“It’s the league we’re in, as you can go from dominating to all of a sudden be suffering for a bit and I think we did that well today.
“We managed that moment and then the subs helped by coming on the pitch to see the game out, so a really good performance.”
Wycombe’s Mike Dodds said, per Bucks Free Press: “Four of the worst goals you will ever see.
“When you come to a place like this, you have to stand up, take responsibility and do your job properly.
“But you end up playing off the ball, pass, pass, pass, pass, and then back and ultimately, with the goals, at any level, one is disappointing, but four in the same day…we had a good away support, and we’re disappointed.
“It is a mentality thing, as you can’t be that good at home and this bad away, and we need to get to the bottom of it.
“There is no point defending the performance – it was unacceptable as every part of the game, we didn’t do well.
“We didn’t fight, run, or pass it properly, lost most duals and gave them goals.
“There is a good team in there, but they are so sporadic at the moment.
“It is hard to have a shot when you don’t pass the ball properly, and you don’t take responsibility.
“It was a bad day.
“There is no point defending it and making excuses.”
Here’s how fans reacted to the awkward howlers from gift-giving Wycombe as they are thrashed 4-0 by Luton…
@RodMurrell1: Surely that’s on the defender
@2hi4me2cu: He didn’t make a mistake, his defender sold him out all day. After that he can’t get back and he knows it
@george_mjg: Defender in control of the ball, keeper needs to stay where he is and make the angle. Hagelskjaer’s reaction indicates no shout
@CammmyyM: Look where Casey is compared to Norris and actually makes an effort to gets back and almost gets to him. Norris could of had a chance
@george_mjg: Anders’ reaction is telling too, clearly no shout from at all. Shambles of an afternoon
@dfw_dante: Surely he could have run back to the post and attempted to make a save? Or follow the striker and attempt to make a save?
@Sensible__Steve: If that was Keeley just giving up and not trying to recover I would be furious
@DanClarkPR: Reflecting on yesterday – it’s not necessarily the mistakes made, it’s the response and the attitude. They gave up – demonstrated by the response to the second goal. That’s what is unacceptable. If we are to improve – attitude needs to change.
@ITFC20O5: Was that defence still on a hangover from Christmas 😭
@LFC_FCHT: Defender has 6 business days to give keeper an easy pass back and bamboozled him 😂 Dl100% defenders fault, keeper can chase it all he wants but he’s never stopping the goal
@Jaylee_013: The reaction’s bad but that is absolutely not a keeper error, defender fucked up the pass
@joalhe1997: Hattrick of cock ups here. Harvie’s pass back into no man’s land starts this as it forces both to go after it. Then Hagelskjaer and Norris both self implode, probably more on the former, but Norris giving up is a dreadful look, let alone then gifting two others #Chairboys
@OwenReeman3: Norris has received some stick during his time at Wycombe but I’ve largely defended him but this has to be the last time he ever plays a game for us. Mistakes happen but that reaction is diabolical
@rickyleegriffi: That’s horrendous. You can’t stop playing as a goalkeeper
