Blaugrana made their way into the semi-final thanks to their 4-0 first-leg win over Borussia Dortmund at Camp Nou. That big win was enough to secure Hansi Flick’s side’s place in the next stage despite losing their second game 3-1 in Germany.
That second-leg defeat will be a positive learning curve for Barca ahead of their semifinal battle against Inter. The Nerazzurri will pose a different threat, especially on the defensive end, as they are known for their strong backline.
Barcelona will once again be the favourite on paper, but Inter have proved that they are not an easy team to take down, especially in two legs. Barca must put on a much more consistent effort both at home and away if they want to grab that UCL final ticket.
PSG Set for a Cracking Tie With Arsenal
A similar situation also occurs for Les Parisiens as they will face another tough task from a Premier League side, Arsenal. After eliminating Aston Villa in a tricky fashion, Luis Enrique’s men are going to face another EPL team.
Already eliminating Liverpool in the last 16, PSG will be eyeing to make the Gunners their third victim in this season’s UCL campaign. It won’t be an easy task as the Ligue 1 giant was forced to battle hard in their second-leg clash against Villa.
However, their 3-2 loss against Unai Emery’s side can also serve as a good lesson for PSG to maintain their focus in both legs. Arsenal will be a tough battle, especially with their confidence sky high after beating Real Madrid.
