Brazil showcased their offensive depth in a dramatic 3-1 victory over Croatia at Camping World Stadium, with late goals securing the friendly win.

Brazil ultimately claimed a 3-1 victory against Croatia in a captivating international friendly held in Orlando on April 1, 2026. The match saw a flurry of late goals, but it was Brazil’s ability to capitalize on key moments that proved decisive.

Both nations entered the contest with an eye on upcoming competitive fixtures, using this friendly as a crucial testing ground. Brazil sought to integrate emerging talents with seasoned veterans. Croatia, known for their resilience, looked to fine-tune their tactical approach.

The opening half was a tight affair, marked by physical play and tactical caution from both sides. Croatian winger Ivan Perisic received the game’s first yellow card in the 22nd minute for a tripping foul. Defender Duje Caleta-Car followed just six minutes later, also for tripping, as Croatia battled Brazil’s attacking flow.

Brazil’s midfield anchor Casemiro also saw yellow in the 45th minute, indicating the intensity despite the friendly status. Just as the whistle loomed, Brazil broke the deadlock.

In the 45+2 minute, right-back Danilo surged forward. He connected with a precise pass from Vinicius Junior, drilling the ball into the net to give Brazil a vital lead heading into halftime.

The interval offered both coaching staffs an opportunity to reassess their strategies. Croatia needed to find a way to unlock Brazil’s defense, while Brazil aimed to maintain their momentum and potentially extend their advantage.

The second half saw a raft of substitutions from both teams around the hour mark, as coaches experimented with various lineups. This introduced fresh legs and new attacking impetus. Croatia made four changes in the 60th minute, including Luka Modric.

Brazil responded with substitutions of their own shortly after, bringing on players like Gabriel Martinelli and Igor Thiago to bolster their attack. The pace of the game intensified with the influx of new talent.

As the match neared its conclusion, Croatia found an equalizer. In the 84th minute, Lovro Majer fired home a crucial goal, assisted by T. Fruk, drawing the Vatreni level and setting up a thrilling finish.

However, Brazil quickly regained control. Just four minutes later, Igor Thiago stepped up to convert a penalty in the 88th minute, restoring Brazil’s lead. The late drama continued into stoppage time.

In the 90+2 minute, Gabriel Martinelli sealed the victory for Brazil. He latched onto a pass from rising star Endrick and calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper, extending Brazil’s lead to 3-1.

While full statistical data was limited for this friendly encounter, the scorecard reflected Brazil’s late surge. The match featured four goals and four yellow cards, highlighting both the attacking prowess and the competitive edge displayed by both teams in Orlando.

This victory provides Brazil with a valuable confidence boost and crucial insights into their squad depth as they look ahead to their competitive schedule. Croatia, despite the late collapse, will take lessons from their spirited performance.
