Everton have now reportedly made an approach to sign an Inter Milan attacker, who could cost them around £26m this month.

It’s been a quiet month at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Despite claims that Everton are interested in signing a new right-back, they’ve so far remained unmoved.
As the January transfer window nears deadline day, however, the Toffees could spring into life to welcome a replacement for Jack Grealish, who will be sidelined for around three months with a foot injury.
It’s a major blow for Everton, who were forced to wrestle a point away from Leeds United without one of their leading talismen on Monday night.
Having his say on the injury, manager David Moyes told reporters: “It’s not for me to give the timescale. We’ve not got it yet from the doctors. It’s a stress fracture in his foot. That’s all I can say.
“It’s a huge blow, he’s played an important part for us since the start of the season. We’ve had a few injuries, but this is a big blow to us.
“We’re in close contact with Manchester City. We’ll see how that works as we go along and as we get more information from the specialist. We’re upset for Jack. We’re not thinking about [his future].”
Replacing him won’t be an easy task, but that’s why the January transfer market is so important. Already, the Toffees have been linked with a move for Harry Wilson and now an Inter Milan attacker.
According to reports in Italy, relayed by Sport Witness, Everton have made contact to sign Luis Henrique from Inter Milan, with the winger also the subject of a €30m (£26m) bid from Bournemouth.
£26m Henrique could replace Grealish
If Everton have larger ambitions than a mid-table finish, then they should splash the cash on Henrique before the end of the month. The 24-year-old Brazilian has struggled to make his mark in Italy, but was excellent at Marseille last season – scoring nine goals and assisting another 10 in all competitions.
Whether he can return to those levels is the question that Everton will be asking themselves. He wouldn’t be the first South American to find his feet in the Premier League and could even turn into a bargain at £26m.

There’s also still plenty of time for Henrique to rediscover his best form. At just 24, the winger is arguably yet to even reach the peak of his powers. Everton, whilst his stock is low, should strike.
Competing with Bournemouth now that the Cherries have secured Rayan may prove to be a routine task, especially given that the Toffees should be desperate for an attacking spark without Grealish.
