Some fans were arrested by police during scenes outside the stadium after the goalless draw between Bolton and Bradford.
The Trotters’ run of eight straight wins came to a end as they were held to a 0-0 draw by their promotion League One rivals.
Bolton were unable to break down a resilient Bantams defence despite recent goal-scoring form with 12 goals in their last three games.
Bradford, who find themselves without a victory in the league since late September, came very close to winning it late on, but Bolton’s on-loan keeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe made key saves to preserve a point in a hard-fought stalemate.
Bradford sit 2nd with 28 points from 16 games, while Bolton are 5th with 27 points from the same amount of games played.
It would seem tensions boiled over, from ejections inside the ground to arrests outside of it.

Bolton boss Steven Schumacher said: “I thought it was two good teams which went right at it like we expected,” said the Whites’ head coach. “I felt we probably edged the first half, had the majority of the shots and we missed a couple of big chances and then the second half was probably more even.
“It could have gone either way at the very end but it’s another good point. It’s a positive point and if you can’t win, don’t lose. We’ve been pretty clinical here of late and today we missed a couple of big chances and probably turned down a couple of chances to shoot as well where the ball just didn’t sit right.
“You get days like that, but what I was really pleased with is that we kept going. We’ve had 10 shots, I think, in the first half, nine in the second and probably didn’t make the goalie work enough, but that’s probably down to Bradford as well.
“They’ve got loads of bodies behind the ball, got good blocks in, and made it a difficult game. It looked like two teams at the top end of the division. It was a good game and for a 0-0 an exciting game. I’m pleased with everyone because it’s another good point. It keeps that unbeaten run here going and we look forward to next week’s game now.”
Bradford boss Graham Alexander said: “It was a really good, competitive game of football between two top teams.
“We went toe-to-toe with Bolton. They had the better chance in the first half, but we had some really good chances in the second half.
“I was delighted with how the team committed to the game, the work ethic, the trust in each other, and the courage to press how we did. If you come in and sit back a little bit, the opposition would dominate the game, we had to carry a punch.
“The support we get boosts the players, the lads just cannot wait to come back out and perform in front of them.
“I felt jealous of the team coming out at the start of the game when you see the response from supporters in the away end.
“I was sat in the quiet of the change room and Sam Walker is usually the first one to come in from the warm-up. I said, ‘Is that our guys out there?’ Because I could just hear them.
“I think the supporters saw their team perform like earlier on in the season. So, let’s just maintain that and keep the support behind us.”
This is reaction to fans arrested by police during heated scenes outside the stadium after Bolton and Bradford draw…
borderlescott: Does anyone know what happened to the Bolton fan with the hat and beard goading all game? him and a City fan went down to front gesturing to each other to go outside, with stewards there, but the City fan came back up five minutes later and Bolton fan never returned lol. How that City fan didn’t get kicked out I’ll never know lol. Fair play go the Bolton stewards who were very tolerant. Some boot you out for swearing, nevermind the stuff those two were shouting across the stands!
Jordan: Hope you’re all good? There were some morons after the game, from what i could see it was a group of City fans forcing it too. There were a group of 6 or 7 City fans chanting wanky wanderers about 10 feet infront of us, then they just pushed one lad in a Bolton scarf to the floor and the police horses come bounding over. Then the same group started on another lad and one of them tried hitting a lad from the side. He avoided and shouted wtf are you doing? The city idiot said he’s after Bolton lads….. the bloke who avoided the punch then unzipped his coat, said “I’m a city fan you fecking idiot”…. the idiot then replied with “oh I dont give a feck” and tried hitting him again before his mates pulled him away. Always get some bell ends on away days i suppose.
Eccybantam: Yeah those same morons doing it at every away game have caused me 10k damage to my car. Having a half ton horse absolutely flatten it trying to separate these hooligans. Now a lengthy repair process via the police solicitors. Club needs to do more on who gets these tickets. Absolute idiots
Bigrod: Nobody needs this, when they go to a football match. Hope you got home okay and you and any others in your car weren’t hurt when the horse hit your vehicle.
Eccybantam: Thanks @Bigrod. No one was hurt except the car lol Although if had hit my driver window it may have been different. Not a single concern from the police. Not even willing to take statement. Just a big feck off back to Bradford and report it online. I’m just glad it all got captured on Dashcam
AngryGaz: All you want to do is turn up watch a game have a few beers but no we have dickheads who are hellbent on causing shite whoever it is.
My lads been started on twice after a home game and his crime is getting the train from the interchange ………. fooking mongy twats if you put these twats in a field with oppo fans with no plod in sitw they would shit it. Brave little twats after 4 cans and a bit of marching powder they really are fooking weapons
