Kylian Mbappe credited his Real Madrid team-mates after he scored all four goals in their 4-3 win against Olympiacos.
The Frenchman scored three goals in a seven-minute spell before adding a fourth just before the hour mark, seeing him become the first Madrid player to score four goals in a major European away match.
Mbappe has now scored more hat-tricks away from home than any other player in European Cup/ Champions League history (four).
His hat-trick was also the third-fastest by a player from the start of a Champions League match (29th minute), after Robert Lewandowski v RB Salzburg in March 2022 (23rd minute) and Marco Simone v Rosenborg in September 1996 (24th minute).
Arda Guler has also played a role in Mbappe’s early success this season, having assisted his team-mate seven times across all competitions for Madrid this campaign, the most assists by one player for a teammate at a top five European league side in 2025-26.
Mbappe was quick to praise his team-mates after the win, with Vinicius Junior also providing two assists.
“I feel good, I’m very happy. Scoring goals is always a pleasure for me,” said Mbappe.

“My teammates give me lots of great passes. I’m very lucky to play in this team with all the players in the squad.
“I always try to score; sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, but I always intend to help my team.”
Olympiakos were beaten at home by Madrid for the first time, with the Greek side previously having been unbeaten in four matches when hosting Los Blancos in European competition (W1 D3).
This was also the first time that Madrid conceded the opening goal of a European Cup/ Champions League game but led by two or more goals at half time since December 1965 (v Kilmarnock – also 3-1 at the break).
“It was very important to win again. We knew we hadn’t won in three games, which is a long time for a team like ours,” Mbappe added.
“We know it’s difficult to win here. We started very badly and lost possession a lot. We conceded the first goal, but then we took control of the match and scored a lot of goals.
“The second half was tight: we scored, they scored, but we came away with the win.”
