At the start of the podcast, Treble winner Denis offers his take on Carrick’s United performing so well. “I’ve got to say it’s been a brilliant start for him when you look at the games that were in front of him. They were far from easy and different kinds of performances in the games we’ve played as well by the way.
“You know, playing Man City in particular at home, first one in, and then Arsenal away, it doesn’t get much tougher than that! I’ve got to say Michael and the group of coaches he’s got with him, they’ve done a great job and we’ve got a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
“He’s always been a level-headed, steady lad. The coaching spell and the managerial spell he’s had at Middlesbrough has helped. I was speaking to Gary Pallister and he said he was really unfortunate up there because he did an incredible job in the first year there, but a lot of players went from him. That will have done him no harm at all.
“He has been brilliant for us. He knows the club, he’s dedicated to the club and I think that has been a really good appointment.”
