A point would send the promoted side fourth, while victory for Everton would lift the Toffees to 12th, seven points above the relegation zone.
Regis Le Bris’ side followed up a 2-0 home win over Wolves with a last-gasp 2-1 triumph at Chelsea on October 25, a day before Everton suffered a second straight loss with a 3-0 home defeat by Tottenham.

Sunderland are unchanged. Winger Romaine Mundle has a hamstring issue and defenders Dennis Cirkin (wrist) Leo Hjelde (Achilles) and Aji Alese remain out.
Paraguay defender Omar Alderete remains out after a concussion injury but winger Simon Adingra is on the bench following a hamstring problem.
Lutsharel Geertruida starts again, having done so for the club for the first time at Stamford Bridge. “It is fair to say that some players have the momentum now,” said Le Bris.
“That is something we don’t want to break. You need to show resilience and work behind the scenes and wait for your opportunity.
“When the door is open, it is your turn and you need to try your best. Lutsharel and Brian [Brobbey] are doing really well in that example.”

Defenders Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Nathan Patterson (foot and hernia), who has had an operation on his groin, remain out.
Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford spent 15 years at Sunderland before joining Everton in 2017.
“Coming from Sunderland as a young lad and growing into a man here, it’s been a really special time for me and my family,” Pickford told Everton’s programme after signing a new contract last month.
“I think everyone’s seen the changes and how I’ve developed over time, but I’m still that lad who loves to keep the ball out of the net.
“It’s been Everton who have helped me develop and a lot of hard work’s been put in.”
