Toone netted twice in the group stage this time around (Netherlands, Wales) and played 87 minutes of the final against Spain before being replaced by Beth Mead.
Clinton played the final 15 minutes of extra-time, while United Women’s inspirational captain, Le Tissier, was unfortunate to remain an unused substitute.
The girls’ domestic campaign begins with a Women’s Super League match at home to Leicester City on Sunday 7 September (12:00 BST).
