While all of Europe’s elite might have been handed a fortnight break due to March’s international break, we have a stacked midweek schedule from across England’s lower leagues.

With battles at both ends of the National League standings looking like they will go right down to the wire, we are treated to a host of noteworthy showdowns on Tuesday night.

For those of you looking to stick on a Tuesday flutter, we have taken an in-depth dive into some of the most attractive National League betting tips.

Tuesday, March 24th

BST 19:45 FC Halifax vs Carlisle

Making an immediate return to winning ways over the weekend as they stormed their way to a thumping 6-2 victory at home against Boston, Carlisle will be dreaming of a repeat display here.

Opening Tuesday’s trip to Yorkshire sat in bronze medal position, Mark Hughes’ men have their sights firmly set on securing a lucrative Football League return in 2026.

Suffering just a single defeat from any of their previous five appearances, the one-time Manchester City boss has seen his squad gain a reputation for their clinical performances in the final third.

Signing off February with a 2-1 victory away at Eastleigh, Carlisle have notched at least a pair of goals in seven of their previous nine National League appearances.

However, it should be noted, Hughes’ promotion contenders have recorded just a single clean sheet from any of their first eight matchups so far this calendar year.

While Halifax might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, the Shaymen haven’t shown any signs of a hangover this time around.

Last seen over the weekend putting in another dominant display as they stormed their way to a thumping 3-0 victory away at Solihull Moors, Adam Lakeland’s side are enjoying what has become a real National League flurry.

Likewise, last seen in Yorkshire clinching a rollercoaster 3-2 win against Boreham Wood, Halifax have won each of their previous three appearances by an aggregate score of 7-2.

Skyrocketing back into the play-off places, Halifax have also found a recent clinical edge in the final third.

Signing off February with back-to-back 2-2 stalemates against Sutton and Halifax, Tuesday’s hosts have recorded at least two goals in four of their last five National League showdowns.

However, it should be noted, the Shaymen have conceded a pair of goals in their last four straight matchups in front of their own supporters.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score @ 7/10

19:45 Aldershot vs Boreham Wood

While Boreham Wood might have only made their National League return this season, Luke Garrard’s side have embarked on a major fifth-tier flurry.

Cruising their way to a shock play-off ticket, the Whites open Tuesday’s trip to Hampshire sat in fourth-place and they will be looking to make another statement here.

Last seen over the weekend storming their way to an empathic 3-0 romp at home against Gateshead, Tuesday’s guests will be dreaming of a repeat display here.

Crowned National League Cup champions last week as they secured a nail-biting penalty shootout victory against West Ham’s U21s, Boreham Wood will also be excited by their clinical performances in the final third.

Including a rollercoaster 5-3 win against relegation scrappers Brackley Town on March 7th, Garrard’s high-flying squad have notched at least a pair of goals in all of their last eight straight appearances across all competitions.

Embarking on what was an astonishing National League romp when opening the New Year, Aldershot skyrocketed themselves out of the drop zone and they were riding a remarkable wave of momentum.

However, crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion over the past month, John Coleman’s camp are once again looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap.

Last seen over the weekend falling to a 3-2 loss away at Woking, the Hampshire-based outfit have now lost all of their previous five consecutive National League appearances.

Opening March with a 2-1 defeat against Forest Green Aldershot have also shown some worrying defensive issues.

Losing their last five straight outings by an aggregate score of 12-3, Tuesday’s hosts have also failed to muster a single clean sheet from their previous 10 appearances – a run that stems back to a 3-0 romp against Hartlepool on January 31st.

Betting Tip: Boreham Wood win @ 12/11

19:45 Hereford vs Spennymoor Town

While Hereford might have mustered 13 points from their five National League North appearances on either side of opening March, Aaron Downes’ men have come crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion over the past fortnight.

Last seen over the weekend getting hit with a routine 3-1 defeat at the hands of Macclesfield, the Bulls open Tuesday’s fixtures sat four points adrift of safety.

In fact, including a 4-1 drumming at home against AFC Fylde on March 17th, Hereford have lost each of their last three straight outings by an aggregate score of 9-3.

Likewise, the midweek hosts have also shown some extended defensive struggles. Despite signing off February with an action-packed 5-2 victory against Chester, Downes’ side have recorded just a sole clean sheet from any of their previous 10 appearances – a run that stems back to February 17th.

It should also be highlighted, the Bulls have seen all of their last five straight matchups at Edgar Street finish with both teams finding the net.

Missing out on what they had billed as a golden opportunity over the weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate at home against Alfreton, Spennymoor will be seeking an immediate response here.

Last seen on their travels landing a rollercoaster 3-2 victory against Methyr Town on March 14th, Matthew Dolan’s side now have their sights set on finding a route into the top-half of the National League North standings.

Landing a 2-0 win when they welcomed Hereford to Durham for their reverse meeting on August 9th, Spennymoor should also be excited by an eye-catching record against Tuesday’s opponents.

In fact, Dolan’s men have registered seven points from their previous three meetings. However, recording just a single National League North clean sheet on their travels since the start of December, we are expecting what could be an enjoyable contest in midweek.

Betting Tip: Goal to be scored in both halves @ 7/10
