Marcus Rashford is just one step away from securing a move to Barcelona, leaving Manchester United in another loan move. The Blaugrana has reached an agreement with United for a season-long loan deal of Rashford, with an option to buy worth € 30m starting from next season.
Marcus Rashford Set for a Move to Barcelona
Having been told to find a new club ahead of the new season, Rashford is now heading for another new chapter in his footballing career. As reported by various media outlets, the English international is on his way to join the Blaugrana.
Rashford will be joining Hansi Flick’s side on a free loan deal with an option to buy worth 30 million euros. Although Barca won’t have to shell out any fee for the loan, according to Fabrizio Romano, they will be paying the player’s high wages around 14 million euros gross.
The number is already slightly lower than what Rashford earned at Man United as the attacker agreed to lower his salary by up to 15%. Barcelona is set to confirm the signing soon, as the player has arrived in the city for medical check-ups.
There shouldn’t be any problem with the deal, as all parties have already agreed on everything and are already exchanging documents. Rashford’s arrival would potentially end Barca’s search for a new left winger this summer.
