Premier League clubs publish their 2024/25 retained, released and free agents lists now that it’s the summer transfer window.
Teams in the top flight, and in the EFL will be looking to strengthen and replace those injured or in need of a boost with some names looking to secure themselves a new club to call home for the foreseeable future.
Retained lists are being released across the top four professional tiers, which will see a flood of free agents into the summer transfer market.

Window to open early between 1 and 10 June and then reopen on 16 June before closing on 1 September at 19:00 BST
Premier League clubs have agreed the dates for the Summer 2025 Transfer Window.
The window will open early, between Sunday 1 June and Tuesday 10 June at 19:00 BST, due to an exceptional registration period relating to the FIFA Club World Cup.
It will then reopen on Monday 16 June and close on Monday 1 September at 19:00 BST.

I can’t wait for the start of the seasonit’s an ongoing long-run affairit’s only a game and I can’t quite explainbut something keeps drawing me thereit’s the walk up the hill in all weathersit’s that fortnightly journey aloneit’s great expectation and sometimes frustrationthis terrace that’s my second home
it began as a kid in the citystanding in huge teeming groundson concrete and stone with my mates or alonesurrounded by mayhem and soundsand now I am here in the countrywith a stadium high on a hillit’s a far smaller place in a green open spacebut it still has that magical thrilland despite ev’rything we have been throughin a world that was changed in a daywe will stand here once more or we’ll sit like beforeeven though it may not go away
there’ll be faces I’ve known through the seasonsthough I barely can tell you their namesbut we’ll go through it all ev’ry rise ev’ry falland the passion will still be the sameand each time it starts there’s a whispera feeling of what it could bringa hope that lies burning a longing a yearningthat beckons within everything
there’s a buzz at the start of the seasonit’s a feeling that’s hard to describeand you never quite know how the new one will goto advance or to simply survivebut the being there outweighs the downsideslike places in life I have knownit’s the anticipation and special vibrationthis terrace that’s my second home
