Trinity Rodman will be back with the United States when the first training camp of the new year kicks off at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Rodman, whose 2025 was riddled with injury, was among 26 players named to the camp, which will conclude with friendly matches against Paraguay (January 24) and Chile (January 27).
All 26 players are NWSL players, but Rodman is listed by US Soccer as unaffiliated since she has been out of contract since January 1. She has spent her entire career with the Washington Spirit and reportedly reached a deal on a new contract that was rejected by the NWSL. Gotham players were not available for selection ahead of the team’s trip to England for the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
Four players — Maddie Dahlien, Riley Jackson, Sally Menti, and Reilyn Turner — received their first senior call-ups. Bay FC goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz is also uncapped but has been in camp before. Half of the camp’s roster consists of players who made their senior debuts in 2025.
“Once again, our roster presents opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate players and for some NWSL players we haven’t seen as much in the national team environment, as well as for some first-time call-ups, to show they can contribute in 2026, 2027 or beyond,” head coach Emma Hayes said. “We’re looking forward to having a few more training days than usual in this camp as well as getting two matches to see this part of the player pool in game action and hopefully add even more depth and options for our 2026 SheBelieves Cup roster.”
Spirit defender Tara McKeown was married in December and will now play under Tara Rudd. She was not included in the team for the matches in October. Yazmeen Ryan of the Dash also returns after not being selected in October.
