305,000 fans attended the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix weekend, with Zandvoort posting an unchanged turnout for its penultimate appearance on the F1 calendar.
Formula 1 has announced a total weekend attendance of 305,000 over the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix weekend, with the Oranje Army once again turning out in force to support home hero Max Verstappen.
Oscar Piastri took victory in the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, recording the first Grand Slam of his career, while team-mate and title rival Lando Norris failed to finish following a late-race mechanical failure. Verstappen secured another home podium and Isack Hadjar took the first podium finish of his career on only his 14th F1 start.

This is the fourth year in a row that Formula 1 has listed 305,000 as the weekend attendance figure for the Dutch Grand Prix weekend. The only exception since Zandvoort’s return to the calendar was in 2021, when coronavirus-related restrictions meant that the circuit ran at a limited capacity for its return after a 36-year absence. That year, weekend attendance was only 195,000 – despite over a million fans having applied for tickets.
2025 Dutch Grand Prix Likely Not a Sell-Out
The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix current ranks as the fifth best-attended race weekend of the season, behind Britain, Australia, Belgium and Canada. It is the eighth race this year to have had a total attendance in excess of 300,000. Last year, the event ended the season as the ninth best-attended race weekend overall, with races in Mexico, Italy and Las Vegas exceeding its figure later in the season.
Total Formula 1 attendance across the first 15 races of the year now stands at over 4.2 million, with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix the only race yet to declare an attendance figure so far this season. The sport remains on course to surpass its total 2024 attendance of 6.5 million.
The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix is not believed to have been a sell-out event. Formula 1 photographer Kym Illman noted that many tickets for the race remained available just ahead of the race weekend, with cheaper tickets available via ticket resale sites rather than through the official Dutch Grand Prix website.
Zandvoort’s Final Race in 2026
The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix will mark Zandvoort’s final appearance on the Formula 1 calendar, at least for the foreseeable future. In December 2024, race organisers revealed that they had signed a single-year contract extension but that their event would depart the calendar after 2026.
Zandvoort’s departure from the calendar in 2026 likely paves the way for a new event in Thailand or on the African continent to join the schedule from 2028 onwards.
The final Dutch Grand Prix is set to take place on August 21-23 next year and – for the first time – will feature a Sprint race. Tickets for the 2026 race are already available via our ticket supplier. You can also join the waitlist for ticket packages via F1 Experiences.
