The equal second cheapest grandstands on offer at the Singapore Grand Prix, Padang A/B are located on a short straight between Turn 9 (Padang) and Turn 10 (Singapore Sling). Padang A is closer to Turn 9 and Padang B is closer to Turn 10, but none of the seats here offer a decent view of the cars taking either corner. As a result, it’s hard to recommend either grandstand for views of the on-track action. You’ll see the cars passing you on the straight for a few seconds at a time. The big advantage of the Padang A/B grandstands is their very close proximity to the main Padang stage, which is where the biggest concerts take place on race weekend.
Access to Padang A/B Grandstands
As the name suggests, the Padang A & B grandstands are located in the area of Singapore with the same name, which is comprised of a large green space, sports fields and parks. The closest entrance gates are 3A and 3B (Stamford), which are close to the City Hall MRT station (see map below). Several large malls are nearby, notably Raffles City and Capitol Singapore. Nearby hotels include Swissotel The Stamford and the Fairmont. If you are coming from the Boat Quay/Clark Quay side of the city, you can also enter the circuit at Gate 4 (Empress), which is about 10 minutes walk across the river from the Raffles Place MRT station.
Padang A/B Grandstands: Seat Type & Layout
All of the seats in the Padang A/B grandstands are individual bucket seats with backs.
The Padang A and B grandstands are situated in Zone 4 of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, either side of the main Padang stage where the headline concerts take place on race weekend. Looking at the track, Padang A is located to the right of the stage (closer to Turn 9) and Padang B is located to the left of the stage (closer to Turn 10). These large grandstands have as many as 43 rows (and 24 seats across in each section), though the sections on the ends of each grandstand are lower.
Both grandstands are not particularly steeply pitched, meaning that even the higher seats do not offer views above the trackside catch fencing. As a result, the best seats in each grandstand are in the mid to upper sections in our opinion (rows 20-30). These seats have some elevation for more panoramic views, but without being too far away from the track (like the highest seats).
Please note that the current organization of the Padang A/B grandstands is slightly different to the above seating plan. An additional low section (A1) has been added to the end of Padang A closest to Turn 9 (Padang). The numbering system has also been changed for Padang B, which is organized into sections B1-B6 (instead of B6-B10). We will update this seating plan as soon as the 2026 version is available.
Padang A Grandstand
Facing the track, the Padang Grandstand is to the immediate right of the main Padang stage and starts just after the exit of Turn 9 (Padang). The lower numbered sections closer to Turn 9 (which are also much lower than the other sections) don’t have the best views. We recommend seats in mid to high rows of sections A4-A6. One large TV screen sits opposite the middle of the Padang A grandstand, with the best views from Sections A3-A4. All seats in the grandstand have a good view of this screen.

Padang B Grandstand
Facing the track, the Padang B Grandstand is to the immediate left of the main Padang stage and extends almost to Turn 10. Padang B faces the imposing facade of Singapore’s National Gallery. The best seats here are in higher numbered sections closer to Turn 10. One large TV screen sits opposite the middle of the Padang B grandstand, with the best views from Sections B3-B4. Nevertheless, all seats in the grandstand have a decent view of this screen.

Which is Better, Padang A or Padang B?
To be honest, it’s hard to recommend either of the Padang grandstands. Views of the track are average at best from most seats. If we had to choose, we’d probably go for a seat in the mid-high rows of Padang B (B4-B5); seats in this part of the grandstand give you the longest look at the cars passing in front of you.
