Ahead of this year’s Singapore Grand Prix, we had the opportunity to check out the views from selected grandstands at Marina Bay Street Circuit. In our opinion, the views from the Turn 1 grandstand are amongst the best at Marina Bay Street Circuit (arguably, the views from the Turn 2 grandstand are slightly better for the same price). Turn 1 is a good option for on-track action, especially at the start of the race. Turn 1 is also a popular overtaking opportunity during the race. The best views in Turn 1 can be found in the mid sections of the grandstand, particularly A3-A6. Due to the positioning of the grandstand, the higher sections A7-A9 are located further from the track and facing the runoff area rather than the actual track.
Access to Turn 1 Grandstand
The Turn 1 grandstand are located in Zone 1 of the circuit park. Buyers of Turn 1 grandstand tickets are entitled to access all of the zones at Marina Bay Street Circuit (Zones 1-4). The popular Wharf Stage, where the F1 drivers appear on Friday-Saturday and many of the biggest bands perform, is only a 5-minute walk from the Turn 1 grandstand.
The best entrance gate is Gate 1 on Republic Boulevard, close to the Nicoll Highway MRT station. There are no pedestrian bridges between Gate 1 and the Turn 1 grandstand, and the walk from gate to grandstand should take only 5-10 minutes. You may also enter via Gate 2 (Temasek Avenue), which is close to the Promenade MRT station, but you’ll be walking for about 10-15 minutes to reach the Turn 1 grandstand and will also have to cross two pedestrian overpasses.

Turn 1 Grandstand Seat Type
All of the seats in the Turn 1 grandstand offer individual bucket seats with backs.
Turn 1 Grandstand Seating Plan
The Turn 1 grandstand is separated into eight sections, as you can see on the seating plan below. Most sections have 20 rows, with row numbers starting at the bottom of the grandstand. In most cases, the best seats are in the upper rows of the grandstand. The best views from the Turn 1 grandstand are in sections A3-A6, which are both closest to the track and offer the best views of Turns 1 (as well as views of Turns 2-3). A large TV screen is located opposite the A2 section of the grandstand. This is easily visible up to around section A6; fans in the higher sections can also see another large TV screen on the inside of Turn 2.

Which Sections of the Turn 1 Grandstand are the Best?
In our opinion, the best sections of the Turn 1 grandstand are A3-A6. These sections are closest to both the track and the first turn, and also offer views of Turns 2-3. The views of Turn 1 from the left most section, A2, are also quite good, but views to the left (towards the pit exit and start-finish straight) are quite compromised. Due to the positioning of the grandstand, the seats in the highest sections (A7-A9) are not as good, being further from the track and facing the run-off area.
