Dana White’s Contender Series rolled into this season’s fifth week on Tuesday with another five-bout fight card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
A heavyweight bout between Steven Asplund and Anthony Guarascio headlined the event. The two came out swinging for the fences and it didn’t last long. A left hook landed for Asplund sending Guarascio to the canvas. A few follow-up elbows forced the stoppage just 16 seconds into the fight.
Following the fights, UFC CEO Dana White announced that the five winners: Carol Foro, Shanelle Dyer, Samuel Sanches, Lerryan Douglas and Stephen Asplund, had earned UFC contracts.
