UFC middleweight contender Khamzat Chimaev is keeping his cardio up for what is expected to be a Dricus Du Plessis title fight at some point later this year. That may explain why “Borz” was running up and down the field for a friendly game of soccer.
And by “friendly” I mean “drop anyone with better footwork than you.”
Du Plessis improved to 23-2 with a unanimous decision victory over Sean Strickland at UFC 312, a fight that had “Stillknocks” in control from bell-to-bell. Unfortunately, his performance did little to impress the No. 3-ranked contender, who slammed the “bullish*t” bout on social media.

At least we got those pesky visa issues sorted out.
“2025 I will take this belt InShAllah, and no one can stop it,” Chimaev wrote on social media.
The undefeated “Borz,” who turns 31 in May, improved to 14-0 by submitting former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 308 last fall. Hopefully the promotion can announce his next fight in the coming weeks, if not days.
