Michael ‘Venom’ Page may have walked away with a win at UFC London, but he certainly didn’t make any new fans with his performance.
While fans were initially excited to see ‘Venom’ back in London, those cheers quickly turned to jeers as neither Page nor Patterson offered much in the way of offense through the first five minutes. It was more of the same in the second, with ‘MVP’ bouncing around in his typical side stance and not much else.
Page’s best moment came with 28 seconds left in the stanza when he caught Patterson coming in with a short right. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the crowd back in his good graces.
With five minutes to go, both fighters opted to try their luck with the clinch game, though neither gained a significant advantage over the other. Nor did either one offer any strikes while controlling the other.
As a result, we headed to the scorecards for an unsatisfying end to a disappointing contest.

Official Result: Michael ‘Venom’ Page def. Sam Patterson via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
