UFC 319 poster released featuring Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev

Dricus du Plessis headlines once again with another dangerous championship challenge ahead.

The official poster for UFC 319 has been released, featuring du Plessis and the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev going face to face. Du Plessis vs. Chimaev headlines the UFC’s return to United Center in Chicago on Aug. 16.

Du Plessis (23-2) is yet to lose inside the octagon, with a perfect 9-0 record since joining the UFC in 2020. He seeks his third consecutive successful title defense after wins over Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland.

Standing opposite du Plessis is Chimaev, 8-0 in the UFC with six of those wins coming by way of knockout or submission. In his most recent outing, Chimaev scored a terrifying face crank submission of Robert Whittaker that dislodged a few of the former champion’s teeth.

A co-main event has not been officially announced for the Aug. 16 event, though several key bouts are featured on the card. Veteran middleweight contender Jared Cannonier fights Michael Page, while a welterweight contenders’ bout between Geoff Neal and Carlos Prates is targeted to take place in Chicago.
