Andre Drummond is taking a financial hit for his actions during Thursday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
The NBA announced Saturday that the veteran centre had been fined $25,000 for making an “objectionable gesture on the playing court” with eight seconds remaining in the third quarter of the Philadelphia 76ers’ 139-118 win.
After knocking down a three-pointer, Drummond appeared to make a shooting motion towards the Kings’ bench.
Drummond, 32, is in his 14th NBA season and second consecutive with the 76ers.
In 52 games for Philadelphia in 2025-26, the veteran centre is averaging 6.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 0.8 blocks on 47.6 per cent shooting.
The league also fined Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs $25,000 for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of the spectator stands.
Suggs was pushed out of bounds by Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and threw his mouthguard into the crowd in anger. Suggs was assessed a technical foul on the play.
The incident occurred with 5:35 remaining in the first quarter of the Magic’s 130-111 loss to the Hornets on March 19.
