Forward Aaron Gordon, the team’s third-leading scorer this post-season, injured his left hamstring with 1:45 left in the game and his availability for Game 7 is now uncertain.
“I feel OK,” said Gordon post-game, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “We’ll see. I’m going to start the recovery process now and make sure I’m getting ready for Game 7.”
Gordon logged 38 minutes while recording five points, seven rebounds and seven assists as the Nuggets pulled away in the third quarter to win 119-107.
The 29-year-old Gordon has been the consistent force on Denver beyond Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. With Russell Westbrook and Michael Porter Jr. struggling, Gordon has posted playoff career-bests of 17.8 points per game and 38.3 minutes a night.
Nuggets head coach David Adelman told reporters after the game the concern about Gordon’s hamstring is “high. At this point ,I have no idea … it’s really nice to have two days off,” he said.
The forward dealt with ankle and calf injuries that limited him to only 51 regular-season games this year.
