The Toronto Raptors may look completely unrecognizable to most fans on Wednesday night.
Following news that Scottie Barnes would be questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the team later announced that both RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley would miss the game as well.
Barrett is listed as out for personal reasons, while Quickley is resting, according to the team. Barnes is questionable with a hand injury.
Barrett, 24, is averaging 21.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists this season, all career highs. He has suited up for 51 games in his first full season in Toronto and has missed 14.
Quickley, 25, has struggled to stay healthy in his first full season with the Raptors, playing in only 25 of 65 games. In the games he has laced up for, he’s averaging 17.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting 42.5 per cent from the field and 38.0 per cent from three-point range.
The duo joins the growing list of absentees for Wednesday’s game against former head coach Nick Nurse and the 76ers. Jonathan Mogbo (nose), Ja’Kobe Walter (hip/quad), and Gradey Dick (knee) remain out. Walter is without a timetable to return.
Additionally, along with Barnes’ questionable status, Ochai Agbaji (ankle) and Jamison Battle (nose) are also up in the air for the home game against Philadelphia. Agbaji is considered doubtful.
