The Toronto Raptors forward missed practice Saturday as he underwent further testing for an elbow injury suffered in Friday’s pre-season game against the Boston Celtics, Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported.
Murray-Boyles had scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting, dishing out one assist and grabbing one rebound before leaving with a bruised elbow.
It is unclear when the injury happened, but the six-foot-seven forward didn’t check back into the game after being subbed out in the first quarter.
After their 107–105 win over the Celtics, the Raptors announced that X-rays showed no issues with Murray-Boyles’ elbow.
Friday marked the 20-year-old’s third game of pre-season action after Toronto selected him with the ninth-overall pick in this summer’s draft. On Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings, Murray-Boyles scored 12 points, pulled down seven boards, recorded six assists and blocked two shots.
The Raptors’ next pre-season game goes Sunday in Washington against the Wizards (Sportsnet, 3 p.m. ET / noon PT).
