It appears Jarkel Joiner has made an impression on the Toronto Raptors organization.
The team announced on Thursday that it had signed the guard ahead of training camp opening at the end of the month.
The 26-year-old was a member of Toronto’s Summer League roster in July and seemingly made enough of a mark for the squad to keep him within the mix.
And should the six-foot-one, 181-pound guard fail to crack the Raptors’ NBA roster, it appears he’ll have a spot with the 905 waiting. The signing of Joiner comes three weeks after Toronto’s NBA G League affiliate, the Raptors 905, traded its first-round pick in 2026 for the returning rights to Joiner.
He spent the last two years with the Atlanta Hawks organization after going undrafted following three NCAA seasons. Joiner signed two Exhibit 10 deals with the team in that span while spending most of his time in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks.
In 2024-25, Joiner averaged 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 41.8/35.7/67.9 per cent shooting splits through 32 regular-season G League games.
Across 94 games with the Skyhawks, Joiner averaged 10.6 pts, 3.6 ast, and 3.1 rebs on 42.6/32.6/75.9 per cent splits
The addition of Joiner is the latest in a slew of Exhibit 10 deals by Toronto after signing Montreal’s Quincey Guerrier and Tyreke Key earlier in the week.
Both Guerrier and Key were subsequently waived, yet each will net a roughly $80,000 bonus should they make the 905 roster. The same would be true for Joiner if he were waived.
Raptors’ training camp opens on Sept. 29.
