It’s a family affair in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Bucks have signed forward Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way NBA contract, uniting him with brothers Giannis and Thanasis, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Monday.
With the third Antetokounmpo brother on the roster in Milwaukee, it marks the first time in NBA history that three brothers are on active roster contracts with the same team.
Alex, 24, has yet to suit up for a regular-season NBA game. He has spent the last two seasons overseas, splitting time between Lithuanian club Mazeikiai, Montenegrin club Podgorica, and Greek teams PAOK and Aris.
He last played in North America in the 2023-24 season, playing for the Wisconsin Herd — the Bucks’ G League affiliate. Over 18 games, he averaged 5.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists while shooting 32.0 per cent from the field in 21.2 minutes a night.
The six-foot-eight, 214-pound forward also played for the Raptors 905 — the Toronto Raptors’ G League affiliate — in the 2021-22 season.
