After missing the team’s first eight games of the season with a hamstring injury, Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green is finally ready to suit up for his new squad, the team announced Wednesday.
The Suns (3-5) are at home on Thursday night for the first of their home-and-away games against the Los Angeles Clippers (3-4).
Over the summer, Green was apart of the historic seven-team deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. There were a total of 13 players and multiple draft picks involved in the trade.
Green led the Rockets in scoring last season, averaging 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 42.3 per cent from the field and 35.4 per cent from three.
The Suns are 10th in the Western Conference, while the Clippers sit just one spot ahead at ninth. Los Angeles will be without their two leading scorers in James Harden (personal) and Kawhi Leonard (ankle).
