The Division 1 college baseball season is now one month old.
February and early March are the long road for the majority of New England’s 20 teams. Miles upon miles are traveled in order to play games in warmer conditions and against some of the best teams in the country.
Now, things are starting to change. Schedules are taking a turn towards more regionalized games, and conference play will be the norm for every team within the next weekend or two. Some of the winningest teams in the region have already taken advantage, putting together solid runs of play with the most important games beginning or nearing.
At this natural stopping point in the season, NEBJ takes stock of where the region’s teams are at and highlights the peak performers from this past weekend’s action.
