Hot streaks in conference play have led to another shuffle in New England Baseball Journal’s Division 3 Coaches Poll.
While eight of the top-10 ranked teams have jumped to or above the 15-win plateau over the past week, five have made a week-over-week climb from their previous positions. Sweeps of a conference doubleheader or series were a common thread among that group.
A rivalry series sweep was the reason for the biggest jump, adding a fourth NESCAC team back to the mix. There are also multiple teams from the Little East and NEWMAC represented.
The NEBJ Division 3 Coaches Poll, which is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England, will be released on Wednesdays this spring. Those interested in participating should email [email protected] for more information.
