Yale RHP Jack Ohman tops Ivy League

Yale’s Jack Ohman wasted little time emerging as one of the best pitchers in all of Division 1 baseball last spring.

All the right-hander from Mesa, Ariz., did was throw 35 ⅓ consecutive scoreless innings to begin his college career and finish 8-1 with a nation-leading 1.34 ERA and 87 strikeouts across 73 ⅔ frames. He was Yale’s first All-American since 2007 and won Ivy League Pitcher of the Year honors.

What can he do for an encore in 2026? After asserting his dominance behind now-Seattle Mariners prospect Colton Shaw in the Bulldogs’ rotation throughout his debut season, Ohman’s time to shine at the top is coming in his sophomore year after he turned down power-conference opportunities to return to Yale.
