JT Toppin was one heck of a player for the Texas Tech Red Raiders last season.
They made a run to the Elite Eight, where they lost to the eventual national champion, Florida, and Toppin was a big part of that.
A sophomore from Dallas, Texas, Toppin could have entered his name into consideration for the 2025 NBA Draft and been a very intriguing draft prospect, but he’s decided not to do that.
He’s also decided to stay out of the transfer portal, where he would have been the top target for every big-time college basketball program. However, by staying at Texas Tech, he has earned himself a massive NIL payday.
