The first iteration of the College Football Playoff standings was released on Nov. 4. The top 12 teams at the end of conference championship games will comprise the field of teams that will vie for the national champion. The playoff run will start in Dec. 19 and continue until the title is decided on Jan. 19. The first standings saw Big Ten teams atop the list. That’s no surprise as Ohio State and Indiana are both undefeated and have been powerhouses. The other two unbeaten teams heading into Week 11 are also in the Top 12. That would be Texas A&M and BYU.
